Digest authentication isn't available for Web Disk
I am fairly new to managing a web page. I am using directnic as the host, which uses some version of cPanel X. I am trying to use the web disk with Windows 7 and have not had much luck. I can get it to connect, but after about 10-15 minutes, the connection dies and when I try to get back into the folder, it says it is no longer available. I have read in various forums that I need to enable Digest Authentication, but when I got to the web disk section in cPanel X, there is nothing about enabling digest authentication. Is it because the host is using an outdated version or am I missing something? Thanks for the help.

Hello :) In cPanel, after clicking on the "Web Disk" option, browse to the middle of the page where it shows: "Main Web Disk Account" The option to "Enable Digest Authentication" is available under the "Actions" menu. Please contact your web hosting provider if you do not see this option. Note that "cPanel X" is not the version of cPanel. The actual version of cPanel is found in the "Stats" output on the left of the interface. Thank you. 0
