new cpanel user's can't create mysql dbs via site software

hey folks... strange issue here, when i create a new cpanel user, brand new never used before, and that user goes in to site software and creates a blog say wordpress, the database doesn't get created for some reason.... i'm a bit of a n00b to cpanel, but i have some existing users that have been working fine, and no longer either. Can anyone point me in the direction of a log to look at or if you've had this issue before a solution? -adam

  The user needs to create a database, then a database user, then assign DB user to DB...   no the user does not op is using auto install script are you using cpanel's built in autoinstaller or a 3rd party

  Is there anything logged to /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log?
