SPF records one TXT and one SPF how to add the SPF?
In cpanel I activated Email Authentication and enabled SPF which gave me an SPF record. I went into Advanced DNS Zone Editor and found the record listed as type TXT. When I validate the SPF records at SPF Query Tool:
/http://www.kitterman.com/spf/validate.html
I get the following error:
"The TXT records found for your domain are:
v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:66.225.xx.xx ~all
SPF records should also be published in DNS as type SPF records.
No type SPF records found."
How do I create the "type SPF" record? In Advanced DNS Zone Editor the drop-down only has three choices A, CNAME & TXT. How do I get "type" SPF?

Hello :) The TXT record is what you should use for SPF. This is discussed here: SPF Record Instead of TXT Thank you. 0 -
Thanks for the link, sorry I did not find that before posting. This all started because of the error message from the record checker website that I used. 0 -
Yes it's terribly annoying that every checker I've seen (from mxtoolbox.com to check-auth@verifier.port25.com, etc.,) all report SPF records:none in their reports (which from the links i've read here is a deprecated record type), and fail to recognize the TXT record. 0
