I/O Usage, Physical and Virtual Memory Maxed out, But 0% CPU Load

Hello all, This is my first post on cpanel.net. I own a website hosted in a shared hosting, which now gives 500 internal error and stats at cpanel showing that it maxed out the Entry process I/O usage, physical and virtual memory. However, the CPU usage is almost zero (see attachment). 1. How can I troubleshoot which process/file is eating the memory? Support ticket to host saying that my wordpress site's index.php is causing the load, however my index.php contain nothing but few lines of codes. 2. What could be causing this to happen? bad script? dos/ddos attacks on the server? Thank you.

  Hello :) It could just be the overall usage of your website is contributing to the memory usage. How much traffic does the website receive? Thank you.

  if traffic is not the issue 1. Usually its a poorly written plug disable all of them and enable 1 by 1 until you find the one. 2. if its not a plug in is your site optimized? 3. if your site is optimized and a plug in is not causing the issue then may have outgrown shared hosting and you need to upgrade to a dedicated server or VPS server
