    Try running this manually and see what happens: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix

    Thanks Vanessa, yes that's the first thing I Tried :( Sadly it had no effect heh. It just sits there for about 10 seconds, then goes back to the ssh prompt Re running mysql upgrade comes up with the same messages again.

    I actually fixed it about 30 mins ago. Forced through: /var/cpanel/rpm.versions.d/local.versions

    Yea, apparently I had 3 different mysql versions listed in that very file. Issue was fixed VERY quickly by Ken Folse Thanks Ken! Request Id 4649291

    I've just experienced the same thing, but have not been able to resolve it through the suggestions made here. Logged a support ticket to see what the outcome is, but had to resort to a full server restore in the meantime to get sites back up and running as MySQL failed to start when the upgrade failed.
