Prevent Deletion of Remote Backups

Currently using cPanel's backup system to backup daily, retaining 5 days worth of backups locally. And I would like to keep all daily backups remotely, but the systems clears anything older then 5 days. Currently I've setup the remote system to copy the backups to another folder so they can be retained but was wondering if there was a way to prevent deleting remote backups.
