From Subdomain to Own Account
Hello,
Let me start by saying I'm quite a newbie and my questions may seem rhetorical but I would REALLY appreciate some serious answers.
I've recently upgraded my Bluehost pro storage package to VPS and now I'm facing the challenges of managing everything by myself. My most urgent issue as for today is the matter of backups. I learned that the WHM offers two ways of backup, the old Legacy backup and the new backup service. I've enabled the new backup and now I have a huge 5GB TAR file of my entire Cpanel, SQL, sites and more. And now for the big problem... Before I had a VPS account I setup all of my client sites as sub domains with addon domains pointing to them. So now I have one big account with many sub domains and this makes my life hard when trying to restore a site. All the tutorials I've read and watched explain how to restore a full account and not sub domains.
So, basically, my question is, do I now need to setup a different account for each of my sub domains?
If so, I imagine I'll have to migrate each site from my main account to his designated account, whats the easiest way to do so?

Hello :) Yes, ideally you should make your addon domain names into their own accounts if you want to operate them separately and have separate cPanel logins/backups for these accounts. There are no native tools that will automatically convert an addon domain name to it's own account.
