SSL Certificate
Just wanted to clarify
Had to move to a new server and since then every time me (or someone with a domain on my server) goes to their cpanel or webmail a security warning appears telling them it is an untrusted site.
My server company told me I must get an SSL Certificate to stop this from happening. I looked around and godaddy offers SSL certificate but they have a single domain and for more of a price they offer one for multiple domains.
If I am to install on my server itself can I go ahead with just the single domain? and I assume I would install it in the WHM for my server

Yes, you should ideally purchase it for your hostname, and then install it via: "WHM Home " Service Configuration " Manage Service SSL Certificates" Thank you. 0 -

OK I purchased the SSL Cert via Godaddy but confused on what to do now. I did download the cert which when unzipped was 2 files (one of which is gd_bundle) When I go into Manage SSL Certificates - I assume I should check off all choices to install the SSL Cert (cpanel, Dovecot, EXxim, FTP)? But then when I go into Browse Certificates it is showing 2 certificates one expires 3/18/15 and one expires 3/21/15 but they are both self signed and state that they will cause errors and warnings to be shown in browser windows. Was I supposed to upload the 2 cert files from godaddy somewhere?0 -
WHM Home " Service Configuration " Manage Service SSL Certificates and paste the SSL crt in the Certificate: Text box Private Key: in the private key box Certificate Authority Bundle in the ca bundle box 0 -
Thanks.... I think I got it installed but I am still receiving warnings when attempting to log into cpanel and webmail When I click on technical details it shows me The certificate is only valid for the following names: server1.domain.net, www.server1.domain.net (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain) Did I do something wrong during this process? 0 -
That is the domain my hosting company told me to use when applying for the SSL Cert with godaddy 0 -
Check the following setting under the "Redirection" tab in "WHM Home " Server Configuration " Tweak Settings": "SSL redirect destination" Make sure it's configured to "SSL Certificate Name" so that SSL requests are routed to the correct name. Thank you. 0
