How do I assign a different ip to one of my name servers

    Have you updated the Name server IP from the registrar's panel ? You will have update it at the registrar level as well.

    I have the domain example.com registered with my registrar. I already talked with them and they said that I only had to had the name servers to my DNS Zone.     For the Name servers to work, you will have to update them at the registrar level as well. Just updating them in the zone files won't work. You can check at [url=http://intodns.com/]intoDNS: checks DNS and mail servers health if the registrar has updated them to new server IP's.
