SSH Configuration
Hi,
I need some help on SSH configuration.
I have a webserver with the cPanel platform and I don't have the SSH connection set.
I've already tried to create SSH Keys (public and private) with sucess and enable the authorization for private key.
The problem are when I try to import the SSH key (public or private?) to PuTTy.
I've already read that I need to use the PuTTygen and I've follow the steps (Menu --> Conversions --> Import Key), select the downloaded .ppk (private key) from my webserver cPanel and after that tell me to insert the passphrase (I think this is the password that I gave to the SSH Key when I generated). Where, I can't pass this phase.
Anyone can help me if I created the SSH Key correctly? If is another procedure to setup the SSH connection?
Thank you for your time.
Regards.

**Correction** I enable the authorization for public key, not for private key. 0 -
Hi, There is no need to use PuttyGEN when creating the key via cPanel. In Putty, go to SSH > Auth and you can import the Private Key you downloaded from cPanel there. Remember it is the .ppk version you require. 0 -
Hi, Thank you. After I tried your solution, I contacted with my webserver provider, but they don't give the permission for SSH access, I must have a VPS server. Thank you any way. Regards. 0 -
Hello :) Thank you for updating us with the outcome. It's likely you are a reseller if "root" access is not available. Thank you. 0
