question about easyapache and php 5.2

Hello, We still have a couple servers running php 5.2.x and are planning to upgrade them to 5.3 or 5.4 asap once our testing has been completed. Is it possible to run easy apache and upgrade apache to the latest 2.2.27 release and keep running 5.2.x or will we now be forced to select php 5.3 or newer to perform the apache 2.2.27 rebuild? I'd like to update apache while we continue getting our sites ready for the newer php releases. Thank you!

  If you want to be able to select PHP 5.2 in EasyApache, you must install the PHP 5.2 custom module before running EasyApache. You can find the PHP 5.2 custom module, and directions to install it, here:

  After you install the 5.2 opt mod, it will show under your Exhaustive Options list. It won't be in the PHP Version list. Does it show in your Exhaustive Options List or is it nowhere at all? If it is nowhere at all, you might want to make sure that you installed it in the correct directory, as mentioned in our doc: https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/EA/Custom+Modules
