Old kernel?

Why does my cpanel server have an old kernel 2.6.18-308.16.1.el5? Cpanel takes care of Centos updates and so. Got 5.10 right now. Tried to update manually, says everything is up-to-date. Everything else like softwares is up-to-date. Anything to worry about?

  Hello :) The cPanel update process will not update the actual kernel. Instead, you should update that manually via your system package manager (YUM). EX: yum update
  Note that you will have to reboot your server to ensure the new kernel is utilized. Thank you.

  Ah ok. That worked, now I have 2.6.18-371.6.1.el5 :)
