hosting sites in vmware for testing
Actually I m a pentester and like to test the cpanel so I installed centos in vmware and then installed cpanel inside it. Then i went to my host machine which is windows7, browse to the ip of centos(client machine) like ip/whm. Everything is normal, whm opened and working. Now i want to create 2 or 3 accounts. I created one account through whm lets say pentest1.com. Now my question is how do i browse it in my host machine?? Further when i only type ip of client machine in host browser, is it normal that it displays me ip/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi?? i dont want that, I want it to show contain under /var/www/html. I make the changes in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file and give location and restarted httpd service but no luck, anyone?? and if I keep on adding sites do i manually have to enter it in /etc/hosts file like below
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx localhost pentest1.com pentest2.com pentest3.com

ok i got it ! we just have to add account according and configure the host file in host machine c:/windows/system32/etc/hosts and add following line ip of virtual machine pentest1.com pentest2.com 0 -
