Hello :) You could check to see if the original domain name is added as a Parked Domain by browsing to the "Parked Domains" option in cPanel. You are welcome to remove it if you prefer, but note that Google may not reflect the change until it indexes your website again. Thank you.

Greetings, You wouldn't have changed the original domain yourself, only your Hosting Provider can change the cPanel account's main domain. Let's assume you added a new Addon domain or Parked Domain. To verify this, on the left menu in your cPanel, should be the Main Domain shown at top of Stats section. In your cPanel > Domains section, you have several icons here, Addon Domains, Parked Domains. There you would be able to see if the new domain was added. One or the other area should show it. Also in that same Domains section of cPanel is an icon titled Redirects, that one should show you what if any redirects you have setup. With those details in mind, what is your goal here? Is it to kill off the original domain completely or just redirect all links to the new domain? You could ask Google to remove the URL from its cache, but if you don't remove the URL from the Web, it will be found again. To do that, you'd have to remove it from your account and let it expire. Redirecting it to a new domain, does not kill it from being found.

No one, that is to say, other than your Hosting Provider.

OK? Im getting to understand a little bit more now... Following your instructions I have established that the main domain is a 'string of numbers'.....co.uk which is in the panel at top of Stats Section. I do not have Addon Domains icon. InParked Domain I see that the domain name that I want to use is showing but not http or www in front of it? Shows as public html and its not being redirected. Redirects clearly shows the main domain string of numbers ......co.uk directing to the domain name I want to use, permanently. So with those details checked - what I really want to do is use only the Domain name of the website - not the main domain name - whyever would I want to keep the main one? It doesn't serve as a site address to anyone - only me and my host. I have been to Google - not sure if it was the right section - but definitely asked them to remove the address www.string of numbers....co.uk. the section I was in asked for the URL so Im guessing I did that right? What else to do? I really appreciate your help. Should I ask Google to 'crawl' again? Thanks SM

As previously mentioned, your Hosting Provider can modify the account and change the Primary Domain. Documentation for that is here: Modify an Account - cPanel Documentation You would probably want to remove the Parked Domain, and the Redirect setup, first though. This is a matter that you should be discussing with your Hosting Provider.
