what is your kernel now? Please post here the output of: uname -a lspci cat /boot/grub/grub.conf 0 -
What is the hostname of the server? It is likely "storage", because by default the log-in prompt shows the user "at" the hostname. You can find the hostname using this command: # hostname0 -

Cloudlinux support working to fix server so i can't check that. [quote="cPanelJared, post: 1622471">What is the hostname of the server? It is likely "storage", because by default the log-in prompt shows the user "at" the hostname. You can find the hostname using this command:# hostname
Oh yes my mistake i think storage is showing storage (hdd) root My main problem : i am not able to ping or connect any site. Cloudlnux people fixing that but i am on learning curve so wana know what cause that.0 -
Did you try running the "hostname" command? What was the output? (Note: the # is not part of the command. It only represents the command prompt.) "storage" is most likely the hostname of the server, not the name of a hard drive on the server. The reason that I say this is that normally, the log-in prompt is user@hostname, so root@storage would make sense if you are trying to log in as root and storage is the hostname. 0 -
@cpaneljared : yes hostname is storage :-) 0 -
Here is result uname -a lspci /http://i.imgur.com/zPWMAGz.jpg cat /boot/grub/grub.conf /http://i.imgur.com/OwDZtig.jpg 0 -
here is what i recived from cloudlinux staff [QUOTE]Thank you for your access. I was able to check server' settings and seems the main issue is networking. Your server is running CentOS kernel (our CL kernel was removed), grub loader is configured properly, ssh service is running, but none active network interfaces. Unfortunately, this task is out of our scope of support. We may only support CloudLinux related tasks and requests. You'll probably need to restart network (I've checked and interfaces configs are fine), try to wake-up them by manually etc. I would recommend contacting your system administrator (or DC) for this task.
and this from our DC [QUOTE]There is no issue with NIC or internet connection. Your client tried to install something that crashed the OS . Probably will have to reinstall OS.
Do we have some option to fix that without reinstall ?0 -
The responses from Cloud Linux and your data center are likely accurate. If you are still unable to access your server, then you may want to consult with a qualified system administrator for assistance with backing up your files or backup archives and proceeding with the reinstall. Thank you. 0 -
thx CpanelMichael It's test server there is no data. I know last option is reinstall os but i just wana check if i can make that work without re-install. (I am learning about centos and cpanel so brainstorm is good for me) If i will not success today i will make fresh installation tomorrow :-) 0 -
