Match Return Path
Hey,
New to the forums, my name is Jeramiah and I am having an issue.
I've set up an Account Level Filter in cPanel. I have it set to "Any Header" and "Matches Regex".
The regex should compare the return-path to the from field, and go from there. I've tested the regex thoroughly and it works in all of the testers, but when I send an email to myself with a fake return path to try and trigger it, nothing happens.
My questions are: does "Any header" cover Return-path?

Hello :) Have you tried testing from a remote domain name on another mail server to ensure the lack of success is not because it's from your own domain name? Thank you. 0 -
I have not since it's easier for me to send PHP mail with a fake return-path from my domain, I'm not sure how I'd do it otherwise. However, what I have tried was, instead of comparing the return-path/from, I set it to just match the specific return path I was using. I wanted to see if that would trigger it, and it still came through without issue. 0 -
Your access level is listed as "Website Owner", indicating a lack of root access to the server. Have you contacted your web hosting provider so they can take a closer look and review the mail logs? Thank you. 0 -

Yes I have, that is what brought me here. My hosting provider could not find any documentation as to whether or not "any header" allowed me to match the return-path against the from address, or how exactly it checks the headers. I could not find any either.0 -
Could you post the exact rule you are using when setting up the account level filter, and list the steps we should take to reproduce the behavior? Thank you. 0
