Yikes - it's thousands of lines of output.... I'm not sure the forum would permit it :(

It starts to fail during the download - is it possible that your server is running out of disk space or inodes? After you run the script and it fails, do: df -h df -i

    I gave it 20GB, thinking it was enough..... Here's the output immediately after a failure: [root@cpanel1 log]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg_cpanel1-lv_root 18G 2.1G 15G 13% / tmpfs 935M 0 935M 0% /dev/shm /dev/xvda1 485M 57M 403M 13% /boot /dev/xvdd 618M 618M 0 100% /media [root@cpanel1 log]# df -i Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg_cpanel1-lv_root 1148304 64864 1083440 6% / tmpfs 239267 1 239266 1% /dev/shm /dev/xvda1 128016 44 127972 1% /boot /dev/xvdd 0 0 0 - /media [root@cpanel1 log]#

Hello :) Feel free to open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can assist you with the installation. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you.

Thanks Michael, Unfortunately I cannot open a support ticket, as it requires me to enter a Support Access ID (which i cannot get because I am unable to install cPanel to begin with)... It's odd though - I've installed cPanel dozens of times over the years with no issues whatsoever. I did an install with the current ISO last week on VMWare without a hiccup, but the exact same ISO on Xenserver 6.2 just blows up time after time ...

Depending on how far the installation proceeded, you could obtain a support access ID via the command line: /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -S
Otherwise, you can send an e-mail to csATcpanel.net. That will create a ticket in our customer service department, and they will send the ticket to support. Thank you.

Update: For anyone else experiencing an issue where install fails at the download of the following file /http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/11.42.1.12/cpanel/bin/perlmodules.bz2 If you are running SonicWall SonicOS 5.9 or higher with Intrusion Prevention enabled, you must enable the IPS Exclusions list and add cPanel's public IP addresses to it (or temporarily disable IP) in order to install cPanel. It appears that SonicWall sees this file as a medium-risk threat and by default blocks it. Skip

I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. Thank you for updating us with the outcome.
