ConfigServer Security & Firewall - SMTP problems
Hello.
I am using "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" and I am trying to configure sending mail and security issues.
When sending mail using non-ssl my sending client IPs end-up blacklisted at my "ConfigServer Security & Firewall".
It happens every time their internet provider changes their IP address.
Is there a way to exclude a domain from blacklisting at my "ConfigServer Security & Firewall"?
I am tired of whitelisting their IP addresses every 2-3 days.

While many cPanel users also use ConfigServer products, and may be able to help you, you may also get better answers by posting in ConfigServer's own forum: [url=http://www.configserver.com/support.html]Way to the Web Technical Support 0 -
Good point. Thank you for your reply. I am just curious: I am using cPanel with my web server with more than 40 domains (web and email server). I think that security of my server is just fine. Is there a need of using "ConfigServer Security & Firewall" at all? 0 -

I'm not sure that any of us know enough about your specific server setup to tell you whether you need to use it or not. In general, I don't know of anyone that would recommend not using some sort of firewall, whether it's CSF/APF or a hardware-based one. As far as CSF is concerned, I'm not entirely a fan of the product on busier servers, but for one of your size it's better than nothing.0 -
Thanks for your answer. So, I just need to fine-tune it and leave it to do the job. I posted question on "ConfigServer"s forum... 0
