Keeps redirecting to my main url when using sharedip/~username to preview the site

I'm moving a wordpress site to a new host and when using the cpanel temporary url sharedip/~username it keeps redirecting me to my domain url and show the site hosted at my old host. I have looked over Apache mod_userdir Tweak and thy are unchecked. I haven't updated the nameservers yet since i wanted to make sure the site is functioning well before doing that. Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks, Brooke

  Hello :) Sites that use mod_rewrite and other directives in their .htaccess files will not work as expected when viewed through mod_userdir URLs. You can actually modify the hosts file on your personal computer if you want to see the website in it's existing state before the DNS is updated.
