[Case 100637] Attachment size issue in Webmail
Many of our domains are facing issue in the Webmail after the WHM/cPanel version got upgraded to 11.42.1.12.
When we attach any type of file in the Webmail it shows the size as 0 KiB, but the receiver receives that attachment in its original size.
Please check the attached screenshot for the same. The attachment size shows 0 KiB, but actual size of that file is 213 KiB. And if again we click on the Attach button then it will show us the correct/original size of the file.
This never happened before. Once we attached any type of file,it used to quickly calculate the size and show it,but now after attaching any file it shows 0 KiB.
Please let us know what may be the issue?

What email software are you using there, squirrel mail? I don't recognize that interface. Horde seems to be working here for me, and shows the attachment size. Roundcube does not display file size. I did not test with a .docx file though. Have you tried this with another type file, like a .jpg or .txt file for example? 0 -
Yes we are using SquirrelMail only. We have tested with all type of files like .docx, .jpg, .png, .txt, .pdf. But it shows us the size 0 KiB only after attaching it for first time. And then if we again click on the Attach button then it will show us the actual size i.e. we need to click twice on Attach button. We have also tried it through different browsers. But same issue. 0 -
Hello, Thanks for bringing this up. We recently switched to a newer version of Squirrelmail in order to solve some problems with Unicode support under PHP 5.4. The updated version is about three years newer, so it's possible that a new bug may have been introduced. Could you please open a support ticket so we can examine the situation and determine how best to solve it? 0 -
Support ticket has been created. Request id is: 4894801. 0 -
Internal case number 100637 has been opened to address this issue where attaching a file to a message initially shows that the file has 0 size. Thank you. 0
