Apache dies after 10 seconds
Hello, My server has WHM / cpanel. Apache out of the blue has become bit of a pain. It's non-responsive, then randomly will become responsive for about 10 seconds then die again. WHM cant load Apache's status when it's unresponsive.
The only process that looks to be an error is:
/usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --plugin-dir=/usr/lib64/mysql/plugin --user=mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/server.domain.cc.err --open-files-limit=2120 --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server.675.cc.pid
I have no clue what to do, any advice is welcomed! :/

Check the Apache error log /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log 0 -
Hello :) The process you referenced is normal, and is for MySQL. Let us know the error messages you see in the Apache error log when you experience this issue. Thank you. 0 -
Hello thanks for the replies. I eventually fixed it. Thankfully with wasn't anything to do with Apache, however I was the victim of a DOS attack. The Apache log showed a IP address timing out consistently (related to a school server in the US). Blocked the IP address via iptables and all is working fine! So frustrating :) 0 -
I am happy to see you were able to resolve the issue. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
