    There's a way around this by altering the method of making certain configuration changes so they work with cPanel - but you really should reconsider doing this on a cPanel server to begin with. What specifically are you having trouble with in these instructions?

    I already have a CPanel server running version WHM 11.42.1 (build 12) on CENTOS 6.5 x86_64 kvm I didn't start the installation of openvpn, however since it is a production server I want to see if anyone has installed it on such server and if interfere with the existing of CPanel

    Hello :) Installing OpenVPN on a server with cPanel is not supported, but I have seen cases where users have installed it successfully. You can search for "OpenVPN" on our forums to see threads from other users regarding it's implementation. Thank you.

    Seems people have been asking about this for 10+ years :eek: I'm another wondering when openVPN will be officially supported??

    I don't see any reason why openvpn would be something cpanel would support - openvpn doesn't interact with cpanel nor enhances it in any way. If you want it, just install it. cPanel can't reasonably integrate every possible software that can be installed on a linux server. I also didn't see a response to my inquiry about what specifically was difficult in getting openvpn to work. I'm sure someone here can help work around it.

    My VPS provider said they couldn't install it on my server because I had cPanel :confused:

    Yes, however, that doesn't automatically mean that now cPanel has to integrate support for OpenVPN just because the software conflicts. I don't really see anything in the OpenVPN installation procedure itself that can't be worked around on a cpanel server. Just not entirely sure why someone would want to install it ON a cPanel server where your sites/etc are hosted. Sort of seems like a security issue.

    i am using latest version cPanel with openvpn, just run it around 4 days. and still not found any problem at the moment.
