    Hello, Assuming you are in fact upgrading from 5.1 to 5.5 or 5.6, this issue was recently reported and a case opened:

    Hello :) Yes, internal case number 99141 is open to address this issue. Feel free to monitor our change log for this case number to determine when a resolution has been implemented. The workaround for servers that have already upgraded is to manually add those lines back to your /etc/my.cnf file. Thank you.
