Access cPanel API (in a server without WHM) from an external server

Hello All Is it possible to access a cPanel via some API (API 1,2 or XML or JSON) from an external server. I have a shared hosting account (so no WHM support) and wish to get/create some information using a PHP script (+ cPanel XML API
