Hello :) Could you elaborate on which specific email alert you are referring to? Note that it's by design that alerts are sent out from "root". Thank you.

Server security alerts which are sent when any security issue detected on the server for example I just received an alert minuts ago: Time: Wed May 28 19:43:23 2014 +0200 PID: 13964 (Parent PID:784) Account: username Uptime: 80 seconds Executable: /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/514/bin/perl Command Line (often faked in exploits): cpdavd - authenticated as email@domain.com Network connections by the process (if any):

That alert is not from cPanel. It's from CSF/LFD, a third-party application that you installed on your system. You may need to check their support forums for assistance with determining if it's possible to modify their alerts. Thank you.

Hello, As cPanelMichael mentioned, that's coming from csf. If memory serves, there was a FROM_EMAIL configuration in /etc/csf/csf.conf that can be set to an email address that you want the messages sent from (blank was root).
