cPanel change to /etc/init.d/named

Either my memory is failing or I've not come across this one before. Had a load issue last night and cPanel service monitor emailed to state named had recovered. However around the same time /etc/init.d/named appears to have been modified. Having checked this against the original package, the change made seems to be as follows [quote]< ckcf_options='-z'; # enable named-checkzone for each zone (9.3.1+) ! --- > ckcf_options=''; # enable named-checkzone for each zone (9.3.1+) !
Could some kind soul please confirm that removing the -z option is a cPanel change, when it is made and what it achieves? Many thanks

  Hello :) Yes, the "z" flag enables strict zone checking in /etc/init.d/named. This flag was intentionally removed a few years ago because it can result in Bind failing to start due to a bad zone modification, or result in long startup times due to the number of zones on the system. Thank you.
