Trying to setup WHM for Dedicated Server (having troubles)

I am so confused on how to set this up and if anyone can post a link to how i can get started like with the Basic cPanel and WHM Setup and how to get my domain active because my hosting provider is self-managed.

  Hello, Do you already have a server built? If not, that's the first step. If you already have a server (make sure it's new and has nothing else installed on it) you can install cPanel/WHM by following these directions.
