750 Public_html Error chown nobody
Hello,
I want to chown all public_html directories in my server to username:nobody and chmod to 750.
I have used /scripts/chownpublichtmls but nothing happend! folders are still username:username and 755!
Thank you.

Hello :) The "chownpublichtmls" script is no longer functional. It's scheduled for removal in future builds of cPanel per internal case number 102425. To clarify, how were the ownership values on your public_html directories modified? You should be able to update ownership manually using the "chown" command if necessary. Thank you. 0 -
I have a large number of accounts Please give a command to change permssion the folder public_html to 750 and chown username:nobody all public_html users. Thanks 0 -
I do not personally advise making recursive permission/ownership changes unless you are a qualified system administrator with experience using those types of commands. That being said, you can find some user-submitted examples of this on threads like this: Changing Permissions on all users' public_html Thank you. 0
