no pop-up for showing hidden files - File Manager
Hello guys
We have set up a new Cpanel server and sadly we are seeing a bug in FILE MANAGER section.
No pop-up page appears when user click on FILE MANAGER or LEGACY FILE MANAGER for checking the ability of seeing HIDDEN FILES like htaccess
However users can see the hidden files from FTP access but we want to give them access to view hidden files from Cpanel. Unfortunately by clicking on "reset all interface settings " nothing will be changed. POPUP blocker is not enabled, tested on FireFox and Chrome. STILL NO CHANCE! Thank you for your attention on this case
#cat /usr/local/cpanel/version
11.42.1.16

Are you set to use x3 or are you using some other style, like RVskin? 0 -

Hello :) The "reset all interface settings" option at the bottom of the cPanel interface should bring back the directory selection options in cPanel. Do you notice any errors in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when using this option? Are you sure the account is not at it's disk space or inodes limit? Note: You could move the /home/$username/.cpanel directory out of the way and that will regenerate the cache files after logging into cPanel again, but that's not really a good way of determining why the "reset all interface settings" option is not working as intended. Thank you. 0 -
Starting in 11.42 and continued in 11.44, when you launch the File Manager from the quick links in the top navigation on every page, it will launch File Manager directly with hidden files shown by default. If you launch File Manager from the icon in the main navigation area, you should still see the modal window appear with the configuration options you're looking for. .vB 0 -
Hi, When I launch file manager from the top shortcuts it doesn't have the popup. I even tried clicking the "reset all user interface settings" to re-enable the previously hidden popup but that also doesn't work. I wonder if there are any other ideas? Thanks David [quote="cPanelAdamF, post: 1667932">Starting in 11.42 and continued in 11.44, when you launch the File Manager from the quick links in the top navigation on every page, it will launch File Manager directly with hidden files shown by default.
