Sending mail NOT working through smtp or webmail
Hello
Few days ago I rebooted my server (soft reboot) after more than 200 days.
But now I have a problem with sending emails.
My server is only receiving emails.
When I try to send mail through mail client (Thunderbird) I get this error:
When I try to send email through webmail (SquirrelMail) I get this error:
But, If I restart my EXIM or whole server, mail starts functioning again... What should I do? Because I think this is going to happend again... Thanks in advance Bane
Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server smtp.domainname.com timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator. When I try to send email through webmail (SquirrelMail) I get this error:

Hello, Your access level is listed as Reseller Owner. So you apparently do not have root access to the server? You should get with your provider to have them search log files for errors. If they require assistance, they can always open a support ticket. 0 -

Sry for that. That was my mistake.. I have root access to my server and can manage the WHM. I changed that on my profile... But, I am not so skilled, so I would appreciate some help...0 -
Well, I just realized that problem is not so simple. Today and yesterday morning my server was unreachable. So, I guess its not a mail related problem. I ll update this topic if I find out what is happening... 0 -
The problem was because of the lack of server ressources (cpu usage, memory...). And I find out that one of my cronjobs was set at the wrong time. I have set it up to start some time at the night hours. So, smtp server stopped working because of the high servers usage. It is solved now. 0 -
I am happy to see the issue is now resolved. Thank you for updating us with the outcome. 0
