Traffic going to wrong server
I'm in the process of migrating to a new server and some traffic is managing to get from old server to the new one. I believe this has been going on because my secondary nameserver had an A record of the new server IP. I've corrected this but of course have to wait until DNS propagation and in the meantime people are hitting the wrong server.
Is there a way to direct traffic that is hitting the new IP back to the correct server/IP?
Thanks for any help.

Hello :) Beyond waiting for DNS propagation, you could ensure that services on the destination machine are disabled so that visitors do not attempt to make changes to their websites or send/receive email. You may also want to block all traffic to the destination server using a firewall management utility such as CSF. As for redirects, you could update the account's A record in the DNS zones to point to the destination server. Thank you. 0
