cpanel email backup server

Hello, I have some doubt, wait that you can clear about it, this is the situation: i have a whm server with shared hosting, we want to create a new mx secondary for relay, antispam and antivirus, i would like to know about the values of mx and priorities. if in other server i create the same account as the first server but as backup email server. then i configure as mx 0 mx first server 10 mx first server in the case the email arrive first to the second server, when keep in the queue, this emails also filtrered by spamassassin, RBL set and the other rules configured in the second server? or just queue the email for then deliver to the main email server? Thank you.

  Hello :) Yes, with MX records, the lowest value has the highest priority. If mail fails to route to the highest priority server, then the attempt is made to the second highest priority server. Once the email reaches the server, then any filter rules or SpamAssassin rules are applied and the email is delivered. Mail is not queued for redelivery to the first server unless you have custom rules or applications installed. Thank you.

  If you correctly setup a DNS cluster, then if one name server fails, the other server in the cluster will serve DNS requests. Thank you.
