Difference between WHM and WHMCS?
Hello,
Can someone explain the difference between WHM and WHMCS? I have both installed and in-use, but from what I can see they both offer the same basic functionality (Create accounts, products etc) although WHMCS has far more functions, WHM produces a cPanel account for new users that I add?

WHMCS handles all your billing needs. WHM, or Web Host Manager, is what WHMCS automates when it performs certain actions, such as create account. WHMCS requires WHM in order to function. WHM doesn't require WHMCS.0 -
Hello :) You may also find our documentation helpful: Overview - What is cPanel/WHM WHMCS offers a video that should also help explain what it is they do: [url=http://player.vimeo.com/video/82002151?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0]What is WHMCS? - Vimeo Thank you. 0 -
Thank you both for your clear answers. I think I get it now. So, with using WHMCS, that means I don't need to use WHM at all since it's baked right into WHMCS? 0 -

It's possible if you are a reseller who only uses Web Host Manager to manage accounts, but I suggest opening Web Host Manager to get a better idea of all of the features that are available to you. Thank you.0
