Hello :) Per this option's description: Enabling this feature will redirect outgoing SMTP connections to the local mail server. root, exim, and mailman are still allowed to make direct connections. This option does not prevent authenticated email accounts from sending to remote mail servers such as Google, if that's what you mean. Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for your response. Here is what I mean. SMTP restriction basically prevents a user on the server from using remote SMTP settings to send mails on the server to reduce spamming. This means that all remote SMTP connections are blocked. I would like to know if it is possible to allow certain remote SMTP connections while blocking all others

You could disable the "SMTP Restrictions" and add your own custom firewall rules. The SMTP_BLOCK option with CSF might be a good alternative with the possibility of modifying it to allow connections to specific remote servers. Thank you.

If enabled it blocks all outgoing SMTP email calls. Since you are using GMail for your SMTP server, when you enable this feature that will cease to work.
