Hello :) What method did you use to upgrade to MySQL 5.5? Did you ensure PHP was rebuilt using EasyApache during the process? What's the output in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log when this error occurs? Thank you.

Hi, Upgrade Mysql through WHM, Home " Software " MySQL Upgrade and follow the instructions. At the end you will see option for PHP compilation that is EasyApche just select it and proceed with the upgrade. If you still facing same errors, run /scripts/easyapache on the shell. Thanks, EthSupport

The "500 Iternal server Error" is webserver error and checking the apache logs will be more helpful. MySQL version change won't affect the functionality of existing DBs. The issue looks to be related with php mysql extension. Please make a php recompile with updated mysql extension and check. You may check mysql log file for any possible db issues through /var/lib/mysql/server_name.err
