You'd need to contact your Hosting Provider about that. It appears he's got a customized cPanel style setup for you.

How to recover original cPanel Style I have cPanel 11.44.1 (build 19) 11.44.1.19 at InMotion. For years, cPanel display has always been in a series of groupings by type or area with a line in between each group. At the "Theme" (I think it was labeled) appeared "3X". I had never noticed that before, so just for fun (!), I chose a different theme. Now I want to get back to what it was before. I selected "3X", but it didn't seem to recover the original format. What I have now on the left side are what was always there ("General Account Information" and "General Server Information"). On the right, are all the icons ("Mail", "Webmail", "Change Password" ... to "Tell Us How We're Doing") but they are not grouped by type or area. Is that the new format, or is there a way for me to get back to where I was? Thank you.

Re: How to recover original cPanel Style You can still set your Package, or that account to use x3 via WHM. Check first to make sure you're actually set to use Paper Lantern. WHM " Packages " Edit a Package WHM " Account Functions " Modify an Account You don't have your Access Level set in your forms profile here, so I'll assume you have WHM access. If not, you might want to contact your Hosting Provider.

Re: How to recover original cPanel Style Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I do not know what "WHM" or "Access Level" is, and so I have no idea whether or not I have ""WHM Access". As suggested, I will check with InMotion after the weekend. UPDATE: I have just completed "cPanel/Enkompass Access Level" at "My Profile". But I remain unsure what to do next, or how.

Re: How to recover original cPanel Style WHM (WebHost Manager) manages all cPanel accounts on your server. You'd know it if you had access to it. :) You can read more about cPanel Access Levels here: cPanel Access Levels - cPanel Forums

re: changed theme now i can't login my account I can see you do not have WHM access so now you can not revert back your theme. You will have to contact your hosting provider and ask them to change it and check this issues for you.

I just had a customer change their theme to "x2" and couldn't figure out how to get it back to something usable. I see I still have the outdated "x" and "x2" themes on this server. To prevent this from happening again, I did the following: 1) I created /var/cpanel/themes.conf and put x3 and paper_lantern in there 2) I removed the /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x and /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/x2 directories I thought, OK, that must fix this. BUT, when I log in as the user, and click the icon to "Change Style" I am still being offered x. Am I confusing "themes" and "styles" or are they the same thing? How can I remove "x" from the "Change Style" area? FYI, I'm on 11.44 Stable, if it matters. - Scott

What I did was, set all Packages to use Paper Lantern. Modify Features List(s) for those Packages to disable: Theme Switching Disable Theme Switching - cPanel Documentation (theme = x2, x3, Paper Lantern. Style = Black Ice, Clocks, Fall Theme.) Bye bye, x3. we knew you well.

gnarvin - it's important that you contact your hosting provider (or whoever has access to WHM for your account) so that they can change your theme back to Paper Lantern.

Hello :) Could you verify which specific steps you took to change the theme? Also, could you confirm you have read the previous responses to this thread? Thank you.

Anyone? This is really stupid because I shouldnt even have this problem in the first place. Why there is no option to change your theme back or to another one is ridiculous. If "X" is an outdated and useless theme, why even bother keeping it as an option. Now because I was curious I can't do anything, a third of the options and links are gone on cPanel which included the options to change the theme back. And the ones that are there don't work they way they were working in X3. Is there any other way of changing a theme manually.
