email problem with smtp (error 110) port 465

I am trying to get this appointment calendar to forward notifications to my gmail account. However following the instructions, it leads to an error of SMTP -> ERROR? failed to connect to server: connection timed out (110) I did some research online and found out its due to the port being closed, so I'm wondering if I can open this port on my local computer/router (DMZ) or somewhere on cpanel OR someway to auto forward the cpanel emails to my gmail. I am a web owner using latest version of wordpress and mac osx10

  Hi it is a plugin from my wordpress website. installed onto the local server. my domain is namecheap

  You will need to report this issue to your web hosting provider so they can review the server configuration and determine if this restriction is intentional. Thank you.
