Thread Indexing issue

Hello everyone, So I am having an odd issue I am unsure how to resolve. I currently have a Joomla based website in which I want to push files within the file manager to the front in with a hotlink for a download button. Now my issue is I cannot get indexing to let me view the files so I can create a link to it. When I put in my domain name and go to the source it gives me my joomla home page. When I put in the direct IP for the server and go to the file it gives me a blank white page. I have tried to set indexing to default, I have tried to set it to fancy, and to standard. So what am I doing wrong?

  Okay I resolved it. I rebooted my server through WHM and it worked.

  Hello :) I am happy to see you were able to resolve the issue. Note that you may have just been able to clear your browser cache or restarted Apache, rather than rebooting the server itself. Thank you.
