Apache SpamAssassin Setting of 4

I'm somewhat confused. I have SpamAssassin set at 4 I also have the box trapper enabled. I got a spam email in my box trapper and it says Spam Score of 7. Should this email have got through? Also looking at the spam Assassin settings in the box trapper it says -2.5 should I be altering this settings as well to 4? Even with the setting of 4 I still get around 6 or 7 spam emails in the trapper, I assume without the trapper enabled these would have reached my inbox. I find the spam score very confusing.

  wow this is confusing So the box trapper setting should be 1? I not sure why it says a minus -2.5

  I suggest simply leaving the default values in place. If you find that SPAM is making it through, you should consider setting up an account level filter through cPanel that targets specific types of messages. Thank you.
