Wordpress installation not functioning under temporary url access

Hi all, I'm new to cpanel/whm, but am making the slow transition from Enkompass. I've managed to get a users website up as a temporary url using the ~username. However I used softaculous to install wordpress and now I can not get access to the wordpress installation. It seems that it keeps wanting to redirect to the actual

  Hello :) Try updating the hosts file on your computer so that it points the domain name to the IP address of the new server. This will allow you to visit the domain name directly in your web browser before propagation occurs.   I looked and the accounts being created on the cpanel machine are not picking up the ip address of the server since it is supposed to be a shared ip. Instead the websites are picking up an internal ip like 192.x.x.x

  You can modify the main shared IP address via: "WHM Home " Server Configuration " Basic cPanel & WHM Setup" You can also use a command such as "ifconfig" to see if you have configured an internal IP address. Thank you.

  Thanks for the info. I found the area to change the shared IP. Everything is working ok now.
