Reduce disk space in cPanel

    Hi raisiness! It's perfectly safe for you to delete your backup file. I do recommend downloading a copy first, just in case. :)

    thank you :) [COLOR="silver">- - - Updated - - - i already deleted backup folder but my disk space doesn't reduce. :( do have an idea what to do?

    Your disk space can take up to 4 hours to update. It's not an instant process. Don't worry!

    :( sadly., after couple of hours, it doesn't change the disk space. but i am certain that it covers a large amount of space,. do you have any suggestion to reduce my disk space.,? please help.

    if you have shell access, navigate to your account root and type: du -sh * that should list out all the directories and how much disk space thier trees are using. will give you a better idea of which areas are eating your disk space :) if you dont have shell acces, your host should be able to help with that. Sadly cPanels file manager is pretty rubbish for working out whats using all your space.
