backups missed

Hi, Slight issue with backups in 11.44 I have 2 vps's each backing up to 2 remote backup servers. Since 11.44 some backups have failed. Here is the current situation: vps1 2014-07-09 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-10 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-11 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-12 TOTALLY MISSED 2014-07-13 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-14 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-15 TOTALLY MISSED vps2 2014-07-09 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-10 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-11 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-12 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-13 TOTALLY MISSED 2014-07-14 backed up and transferred ok 2014-07-15 BACKED UP ALL FILES BUT ONLY TRANSFERRED 30% Both backup destinations are 100% available and online proved by the fact on July 12th vps1 failed and vps2 backed up ok. I can't find anything in the logs which tells me what the issue is. Everything was ok until recently. This is obviously a very concerning issue and I'd appreciate any advice on what to do. Thanks

  update: sent force backup command via ssh. vps1 which failed completely last night started making backups, then transferring to the remote server. however it has now stopped transferring and the rest of the backups remain on the vps. vps2 which stopped transferring last night has done nothing more as it thinks its already done tonights backups. something is very wrong.
