cPanel just for website "A Record"

We have a customer who point their domain name just the website A Record to our server, i want to know on our WHM / CPANEL how we setup the website? We know how to setup our website, but not sure we should open a cpanel account or use any existing cpanel account and addon domain?

  Hi Chongwang87, Yes, you should create either a cPanel account or you can add the domain as the addon domain. Please check with the "Edit DNS Zone" in the WHM and if you would like to change the A record of the domain, you can change it here. Hope this helps. Thanks,

  One possible issue with using external DNS server is sub domain creations. When a subdomain is created through the cPanel, the records will not be updated in the actual name server and the client needs to create the same there. Also configure the domain to avoid local mail delivery as well.

  Hello :) Yes, you can simply create an account through Web Host Manager. However, note that you must manually add any DNS records at your DNS hosting provider (A, MX, etc) if you plan to avoid using name servers associated with the cPanel server. Thank you.
