CloudLinux: PHP 5.2 and performance issues - Please test!

Hello, We have encountered a strange issue which can be replicated on CloudLinux 5.10 converted from CentOS 5.10 32bit CloudLinux 6.5 converted from CentOS 6.5 64bit CloudLinux 6.5 installed from CloudLinux ISO When a wordpress blog is called for the first time the page takes about 25 seconds to load. When we try again, it takes about 2.5 seconds. Our initial response was that the problem might have been with the plugins the installations on the server had, however we created a new bare installation of wordpress and it has the same issue. To make the matter even more complicated, when we tried to view that installation from location A it took 25 seconds and later when we tried from location B it took 2.5 seconds, so it doesn't seem to be a browser caching issue. Result from pingdom shows that the delay is in "Wait" time, just before any PHP file is being loaded: [url=http://prntscr.com/44coki]Screenshot by Lightshot This happens only with PHP 5.2 and it happens on both Wordpress and Joomla sites or default installations. I would like to call out for help! Please do the following: 1) Create a new hosting account 2) Set it to PHP 5.2 via PHP Selector 3) Upload a default Wordpress installation on it 4) Show here results from NOTICE: Since this issue is shown only the first time you visit a website, please re-check after 6 hours. It doesn't matter if you check from another computer, it has to be 6+ hours after last visit. cPanel can replicate the issue but believes that this is a problem with the website. Unfortunately it happened on 3 different servers, also the server with native CloudLinux ISO was installed by me on Friday so it had zero to none configuration. After we switched to native PHP or PHP 5.3/5.4 via PHP Selector the problem went away, however many clients of us have PHP 5.2 on their sites. Thank you for your participation!

    Hello :) You may receive more user-feedback on this thread, but I wanted to point out that PHP 5.2 is end of life: [url=http://cpanel.net/easyapache-eol-items-removed/]EasyApache EOL Items Removed | cPanel, Inc. I suggest encouraging your clients to upgrade their scripts to support newer versions of PHP, as it's likely at some point their scripts will become targets for exploits due to the fact that security patches are no longer released for PHP 5.2. It might seem like a bit of work to get your scripts updated, but it's likely less time-intensive than restoring those scripts when they are exploited. Thank you.
