FTP access

Hi All I hope you can help. I've been using cpanel for many years, but this is the first time installing them myself (on AWS). I've setup the FTP account in the usual way and have the settings which look normal. However, when I connect with Dreamweaver it comes back with: An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. The remote host cannot be found
The settings from cpanel are:

FTP username: mark@domain.com
FTP server: ftp.domain.com
FTP & explicit FTPS port: 21

I can't see what I'm missing .vB Any help would be much appreciated. Mark

Hello :) I suggest using a client such as FileZilla to verify FTP is working well, as it will give you a more verbose connection error message. Once it's working properly, you can then switch back to Dreamweaver. Also, have you verified there are no firewall rules on your server preventing access to FTP? Thank you.

Hi Michael Thank you for your help. Port 21 needed opening (my own mistake) but FileZilla showed me the error which needed domain.com not ftp.domain.com to fix it. Never seen this before...but it works! Many thanks Mark
