Enabling MPM ITK with mod_suphp enabled + cloudlinux
Hi
I read some threads about this and the documentation but I couldn't find an answer on this.
The question is:
I use Cloudlinux, I use mod suphp, I have about 100 sites running multiple version of PHP.
If I enable MPM ITK, it disables mod suphp . What happens then? Are my sites affected (folders are 755,file are 644,etc.)
Are there any known issues doing this?
Regards

Hello :) Please see the following document: MPM Options In particular, pay close attention to this section: [QUOTE] Warnings: If you select the MPM ITK option, EasyApache will disable the following options: Fcgi Mod Mono (.Net 1.x) Mod Mono (.Net 2.x) Tomcat 7.0 Mod Ruid2 EAccelerator Mod suPHP If you select the MPM ITK option in the Short Options List stage of the EasyApache (Apache Update) interface, cPanel & WHM selects CGI as your PHP handler. EasyApache will also disable the Apache suEXEC option. To use suEXEC in a future Apache configuration, you must perform the following steps: Disable the MPM ITK option in the Exhaustive Options List stage of the EasyApache (Apache Update) interface. Enable the Apache suEXEC option in WHM's Configure PHP and suEXEC interface (Home >> Service Configuration) The MPM ITK option is not compatible with cPanel's Leech Protect feature (Home >> Security >> Leech Protect). If you select the MPM ITK option, we strongly recomend that you remove the Leech Protect feature from your users' feature lists. Use WHM's Feature Manager interface (Home >> Packages >> Feature Manager) to change your users' feature lists.
Based on the information you provided, I would not except any issues with your websites if you switch to CGI as the PHP handler. Thank you.0 -

Hi magj, cPanel doesn't currently support multiple versions of PHP, but as you already know, CloudLinux does provide that functionality. However, most of the issues with MPM ITK aren't with PHP itself, but with the additional components that must operate under MPM ITK (e.g. FastCGI, Tomcat, Mod Qos, EAccelerator, etc). As always, it would be prudent to set up a test server before making drastic changes to your live server.0
