emails questions
Hello,
I have a couple of questions to protect our servers:
1. What is the best option in tweek dor emails; catch all or fail? I think fail sounds good but catch all are the default.
2. How we can prevent a user and all of his addon domain send emails? We want to suspend the emails for a specific account uf we think they are sending spam.
3.Any suggestion and commands to detect in and out spam? We want to block them.
Thanks in advance

1. Fail is always better. Catch-all is an invitation for spam. 2. Technically you can just not allow the user to create email accounts, but you can also remove the domain from /etc/localdomains which will prevent Exim from sending email for it. 3. I just use SpamAsssasin for both, works fine. 0 -
Hello :) Yes, the previous post pretty much sums up the answers to your questions. Note that you may find the following document helpful if you are attempting to prevent SPAM: cPanel - Prevent Email Abuse Thank you. 0 -
Hello, If we remove the domain from local domain, everything should works fine just should block emails for that account? There is any way to add a file and tell exim to block that account to prevent send emails? 0 -
The following thread should be useful for what you are seeking to accomplish: Block one domain from sending email Thank you. 0
