read only access

Hi All. Does anyone know how to setup a mail account that has only read access using only IMAP? My idea is that I need to forward all inbound/outbound mail for a particular email user to another email address on the same domain (unseen delivery) and I need to make sure that anyone that wants to view that particular address that email is being forwarded to cannot delete/modify anything. Essentially just add an IMAP mailbox that has read only access. This will be similar to the access on the cpanel archiving feature, however just for one email address and not the whole domain. Thanks.

  I don't see any way to do what you're doing. Any reason you can't just forward the emails to each user individually? The idea of a shared email account is kind of dumb.

  Hi Vanessa. It will be used as a sort of rudimentary archiving facility on a per user basis, so the mails will need to be installed in a separate mailbox where the mail cannot be modified or deleted by any user. Only read and printed. essentially something like this: user3@domain ->inbound/outbound emails forwarded to-> user3_journal@domain | | V V User's normal mailbox Read only mailbox Hope that can explain it a bit better.
