mod_userdir tweak issue
Long time lurker... okay lets not do that
I have an issue where the preview feature of almost all the accounts on a WHM server does not work. This occurs with both the mod_userdir tweak completely disabled and with it enabled and 'nobody' excluded from protection. Have tried rebuilding both httpd.conf and apache after updating the settings to the same result. Nothing in the apache logs other than 404 file not found errors related to trying the previews...
Been working with cPanel a long time and I just don't get this one...
Any suggestions anyone?

Add to this mod_userdir is part of the build... and there is nothing in /var/cpanel/easy/apache/rawopts that appears to be blocking it...
root [/]# /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -l | grep mod_userdir
mod_userdir.c
root [/]# _

What "preview" feature are you referring to? Or perhaps a better question is, what URL is it sending you to "preview"?0 -
I'm referring to the site preview.... xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~username ... it goes to a 404 apache page instead of the site itself. 0 -

Case 109085 has been opened to look into this issue.0 -

Thank you Kurt... Is there anywhere to follow progress on the case that was opened?0 -

Hello :) In this example URL, are you using the main shared IP address, a dedicated IP address to an account, or a domain name? Thank you.0 -

This was with the main shared IP and also with some of the dedicated IPs. I probably tested 25 different accounts on the server throughout the investigation so far.0 -
Feel free to open a support ticket if you want us to take a closer look at your specific environment and verify if it's related to an open case. You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome. Thank you. 0
