Create email for hostname

I've created an SSL certificate for WHM and I need to verify it using email. If the servers hostname is example.com how exactly can I make an email for admin@example.com?

  Hello :) You should not use a hostname for hosting or email purposes. Instead, your hostname should be a FQDN that's not used for any other purpose. You can create a cPanel account for example.com and then create email accounts under it. Thank you.
